Oh what a ride! This ever growing franchise has provided so much and keeps on providing such imaginative content for generations to see. The movie starts with a tease on roger and garps past. As we have reached chapter 1000 of the manga, we can see the importance of these tiny hints that ODA has spewed across his movies.
Synopsis:
Gold Lion Shiki, a lurking legend of the era of yore has escaped from Impel down and seeks to take over the great pirate era. He rides across a flying ship to make allies and create the biggest alliance of this age(I have heard that somewhere before? hmmmm...where was it...of right!). He comes across across favorite crew by chance and kidnaps the queen(Nami, inside joke...you will realize later in whole cake island arc) and strands the crew across his artificial islands filled with mysterious and strong creatures. Now, our crew much navigate across this strange island and find their crew-mate.
Filled with mysterious animals, vivid characters, fantastic jazz, a deep storyline and one of the greatest intro sequence. This movie is an absolute thrill ride which only is understood better as we get more information in the later arcs.
