To the many swatches of fans out
there complaining that One Piece has become boring and needs to end quickly. To
all those idiots making "ODA sucks" comments, here is an article to
show what mysteries are left to be unraveled in One Piece and what makes One
Piece great in the first place outliving Naruto, Bleach, BNHA, and much more
manga that may come ahead. I will split this into several parts and show exactly what makes Onepiece and ODA so great.
THE ONE-PIECE WORLD:
1. Vegapunk and SSG Project?
Who is the mystery scientist from
Karakuri Island in Paradise (Grand-Line first half), the same island where a scientist
built the automata which God Enel comes across on his journey to Fairy Vearth (Moon)?
What are Vegapunk’s motives? He was responsible for many advanced inventions helping
the world government. He built cyborg-like animals back on Karakuri, gave artificial
legs to dogs and other disabled beings alike, and was the man being the
Pacifista Project. He is also shown as someone who sympathizes with human life when
he stopped Caesar’s research into SAD, Smile, and Poison gases and respected
Kuma’s decision to protect the straw hats as a last-ditch program (surely this
must have been a decision by Vegapunk rather than the world government). He has
also come up with SSG project which will replace the Shichibukai(Warlords) as the
new power balance for the World government.
Origins:
Born in the Grandline Paradise island of Karakuri in the country of Baldimore, a land known to produce geniuses. He made several innovations to aid the nation suffering in the cold weather. He modified the local animals and put them to aid in his laboratory either for protection or manual labor.
World Government's Biggest asset:
Key to the Origin of the Devil Fruits?During Kaido’s introduction in the Manga for the first time (after the Dressrosa arc), the narrator mentions that he was caught by the Navy and put to the guillotine but, the guillotine broke and he has escaped many times. I suspect when the rocks pirates fell, he must have been caught and the world government got wind of his DNA and Vegapunk was able to create the artificial fruit consumed by Momonuke back in Punk hazard was modeled after Kaido’s fruit. This man is clearly the key to uncover the Devil Fruits.
The Three Great Pillars of Power in the Grandline:
The Grand Line is presently controlled by three great pillars of support, the Marines, the Yonko, and the Shichibukai. This actually means territories that are under control. Since the straw hats entered the grand line, we have seen these powers and how much influence they possess. The Alabasta arc showed that shichibukai possesses authority and territory. Crocodile had influence till Whiskey peak through Baroque works, Doflamingo had his own kingdom and also had an influence across the grand line through his crew (Bellamy). Although the shichibukai act as pirates, the governments deal with them also give them some influence in their territories to enact policies for the bigger purpose.
The Yonko also possess territories in the grand line which cannot be intruded upon without violence, Big mom took offense when she lost Fishman Island to the straw hats and Kaido when the straw hats took Dressrosa.
The big goal of the Grand Line is influence and power(a means to conquer), the marines are also inadvertently trying to conquer the grand line.
Vegapunk is trying to create a technology to push that balance, the Pacifista was only the beginning, we saw what havoc the Pacifistas created on Marineford, even the big-name new world pirates struggled against them, the Marines have a key cog on their hands to push the balance in their favor.
