Shingeki no Kyogin (Attack on Titan) Chapter 100

We finally got to here, chapter 100.........

Short Recap:

Paradis island:
Last we saw.....people in paradis figured out the truth of their geography.....they live on an island......the scattered mindless titans were subdued and they have control over their territory after years of struggle......armin and eren seem to have ccomplete control over their transformations.....the original titan power still remains in paradis and requires the power of the royal blood. How much Christa(Historia) is involved in this matter is yet to be ascertained. Hange and levi are dedtating the matter of control in power as leaders of the scouts. Was annie extracted from her chrysallys remains to be reveled. Has her power been extracted?.......Four years have passed since.....the current  whereabouts and actions of the inhabitants has yet to be covered.


Eldia Camp(Marley):
The marley camp is like the german reich, the eldians are treated like scum(like Jews) and the few who become honorary citizens are left alone due to military influence. Eldian Citizens who recieve titan powers are given honorary citizenship.  It has been Four years since the failed attempt to retake the original titan. Two titan powers were lost(Collosal titan and female titan) but, they were able to retrieve Ymir who came apon the jaw titan. Marley senf few more ships to paradis for another attempt but, it was thwarted by the titans on paradis with no communication from the ship any longer. So, the marley empire has now started expanding its territory. The warriors sent to paradis have redeemed themselves by quickly ending long standoffs on the war front but, during the last attempt the armor titan(Reiner) is defeated in the titan form although the battle is settled. A grim realization that the technology has caught up to subdue titan powers. The titan powers cannot be present in any individual for more than 13 years. Reiner and Zack(Gorilla titan) are nearing their lifetime. The new recruits are training and are prepped for the transfer. Falco, a boy of about 8 years is one of the recruits who although not the top of the class wants to succeed Reiner because he doesnt want his friend to get the power and become enslaved by the marley government. Reiner is in deep depression, reflecting on his actions on paradis and the motive behind his actions. He lost three friends after the past scenes reveal he was the one who insisted on going through with the plan to break Wall Rose and Wall Maria. His actions led to the death o many and his motive was to become a hero and provide the neccessities for his family.Reiner tries to end his life with a gun to the mouth but, he hears Falco who wants advice on how to impress the army to recieve the armor titan power. Reiner looks at the boys determination and helps the boy to make amends for his sins. 


The Party:
Falco trains to improve his chances to succeed Reiner. He comes upon a injured soldier who is harassed by the millitary soldiers. He helps the soldier from the military personnel and helps him to the hospital. The soldier(Kruger) tells him he was injured during the war and is now a recovering amputee who is hiding from his family. The soldiers gives falco some advice and shares his experiences to motivate falco, falco helps him send letters to his family forming a friendship with him. The kids who may recieve the titan powers train and falco starts to show progress and tops most exercise and drill sessions. Marley have aranged a party for many world leaders headed by the tybur family who posess one of the nine titan powers and have longstanding relationship with the marley high command. The party is held with several stalls of food. The kids visit the stalls but, have no money to buy anything so, Reiner buys a few items for the kids. They go around and visit the festivities and are about to leave for the party. On the way, falco asks reiner to go somewhere with him and the two leave while the rest of the kids go onward to the party. Falco takes reiner to a basement near the party to meet his friend, Kruger. The reach the basement and reiner is surprised to see that kruger is actually EREN. Eren asks Reiner to sit down and listen to the party announcement. The tybur family head comes out and tells the true history of the eldians. Years ago, eldia was conquering many nations and put to stop after the tybur family and marley hero helios made a deal and subdued the eldians to retire to their island in paradis. But, in truth the king in paradis actually set the plan in motion to end the war. He along with tybur family would split the tian powers and end the war and he would retreat to the paradis island aling with the army of colossal tians and build the walls. along with a few eldian citizens. When the origianl titan power is held by a royal memebr it cannot be used to attack the other nations. But, now the original power is held by onw ho does not posess royal blood so, he goes on to declare that eren as a war criminal who poses a threat to the whole world. Eren and reiner listen to the conversation from the basement below the podium. Reiner begs for forgiveness and asks eren to spare the citizens. Eren says he understands his circumstances but, he wants to keep moving forward and destroy his enemies. He transforms in to titan form crashing the podium and killing tybur family head in front of all. 


Verdict:
Wow. Simply WOW.

 Eren is back and seems to be in communication with his friends. We see a scene where the other titan power holders in marley are separated by mysterious soldiers and held in undeground pits. Who could these soldiers be? Connie? Jean? Maybe

Eren is very calm, a character development instead of his usual self. But, in the end he says that his anger will not go away. He doesnt kill reiner infact he actually gives him a warning so, he has time to evacuate or shield himself and falco from the collapse of the basement. Eren says he wants to destroy his enemies. Who does he consider his enemies? Marley? Tybur? Hmmm.....

What is the plan here? He made such a public appearence and killed the host of the party in front of all the guests and actually proved the point of the host.

What memories did he recieve from the previous host? He has taken his name. Kruger - the last attack titan

Why did he attack? Does he have help from someone else besides paradis? We see an important member who attended the party leave just prior to the start.
